Be The Best You

A few months ago I was in Michaels with friends after a girls night out dinner (this should already make you nervous since Michaels & friends are in the same sentence 😜). Our intention was to find some new washi tape, maybe some new scrapbook paper, and maybe some new stickers. As we are all debating what to buy and how much our discounts would be, I happen to turn around and see this wall of cute little binders with little books that can go inside them. So I decided to buy a binder and book but had no idea what I was going to use them for.

Fast forward to just last week. I’ve joined a bible study at my church, my first Beth Moore study, and there were a few times what she said hit me. At the same time I decided to start some reading plans on the bible app I have. To be honest, I didn’t even read what the plans I choose were about, I choose them based on the title of the plan. I didn’t even know how many days all these plans were, the title sounded relevant and so I clicked ‘Start plan’. It’s a very scientific way of picking reading plans don’t you think?! Between the two, bible study & reading plans, I’ve been prompted to work on my attitude & home life.

I’ve been using this little notebook/journal to record any words/quotes that I find to be encouraging, any wins that come out way, and I wanted to record who I am in this season of life. I think it’ll be fun to look back and see how I’ve changed and grown.

I’ve laminated my dividers just for extra protection. There is a total of 5 dividers that come in the binder.

Do you keep a journal? Have you gone back to look at old entries to see your growth? I would love to hear about it!

* Week 19 *

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby’s skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

There is nothing new to report from this past week. Still feeling some movement but nothing huge and definitely not consistant. I feel like my belly is getting bigger & my shirts are getting shorter 😉 Still not being able to eat a lot but I am pretty sure me & Baby L are getting enough. I need to get back to drinking my water because I can feel it when I am not. Other than all that there is nothing exciting going on in my pregnancy world.

I have a dr appointment on the 19th of this month & there will be an ultrasound. This ultrasound is to find out the gender of Baby L, but as you read in my last post, we will not be finding out. But I will try and sneak a peak and see if I can’t tell the difference. I will definitely update after this appointment.

So until next weeks update which will be 20 weeks (!)….that’s right for right now!

Enjoy 🙂
