Deep Run High School
Marathon Dance Fundraiser
The students at Deep Run High School who participated in this year’s Marathon Dance on March 18-19, 2011 are truly inspirational. We were honored to be invited to speak and tell our story at their closing ceremonies. At the event, we were able to see just how hard these kids worked and how much they care about their community. They have learned lessons about helping others that we don’t think many adults have learned yet.
After 6 months of planning, hours of preparation and 27 hours of dancing, the students raised $160,000!!! We were fortunate to be one of many charities the dance committee chose. We were awarded $8,000 of the money raised which will go towards our efforts at the NICU at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital Forest Campus. So many babies will benefit from the student’s efforts.
Thank you so much to the students at Deep Run High School! You are amazing!
Happy Mother’s Day to ALL Moms
Happy Mother’s day to all moms! To those of living children and of angels, as well as to those with both who have a bittersweet day coming up. Please remember that there are many mothers out there who, although their angels are no longer with them, will always be a mother.
The Jack & Abby Neonatal Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization created to help families with a baby(ies) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Our goal is to educate expectant parents about preterm labor and life in the NICU, provide resources for them and their families and raise money to help support babies born too early. Funds raised go directly to families currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs).
